One of the best things about living in the town of Wake Forest is that there is always something going on. Following are just a few of the family-friendly events going on this spring that you may want to add to your calendar.
Triangle Green Home Tour
April 29-30 & May 6-7
If you work in the home building industry, you are thinking about building a new home in the near future, or you simply enjoy checking out the latest home trends, the Triangle Green Home Tour is a great way for you to spend your weekend. This annual event allows attendees to go on a multi-site tour of newly built and newly remodeled homes that are all green home certified, allowing you to get a firsthand look at the materials and building practices that are being used today. Since no ticket or registration is required to take part in this event, you can visit as few or as many participating homes as you would like.
Six Sundays in Spring
Sundays, April 30 – June 4
The 2017 Six Sundays in Spring free concert series is scheduled to run for six consecutive Sundays this year, from April 30 through June 4. Sponsored by Wake Forest ARTS, this is an event that the entire community can enjoy, making it ideal for both children and adults. Each Sunday, the concert from a different performer will begin at 5pm at the E. Carroll Joyner Park Amphitheater, located at 701 Harris Road. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase for your convenience, but many attendees enjoy packing their own picnics. Just grab the kids, call your friends, pack a blanket, and get ready for six evenings of great music and fun.
Wake Forest Farmer’s Market
