There is so much to love about Wake Forest! Our area enjoys some of the best weather in the country, as well as the most beautiful scenery. Living in Wake Forest offers easy access to some of the best hiking, fishing, biking, and kayaking spots you’ll ever find. There’s more, though. There are also fun community events and festivals nearly all year round! Wake Forest is a vibrant town and our monthly or annual events make the area even more fantastic.
While so much of our lifestyles change over the years, one thing that has never gone away is the joys of a family movie night. When you live in Wake Forest, you can head to Joyner Park and enjoy a movie on a giant screen under the stars. Showtime is 8:30 p.m. There is a new movie every month.
This event is also at Joyner Park. This is a free concert series on six consecutive Sundays, beginning in late April. Plan to pack a picnic and enjoy live music in a warm outdoor environment that celebrates the fact that spring has finally arrived!
This annual event is held downtown each April. It features the largest selection of herb plants for sale on one acre. If you’re looking for a hard-to-find herb or as many herbs as possible, this festival is sure to be the right way to spend your day.
We love the Fourth of July so much, we celebrate this event for two days instead of one! Wake Forest’s Fourth of July Celebration includes a firework spectacular, a children’s parade, as well as sack races, tug of war, and even the classic pie-eating contest.
All good things must come to an end. Wake Forest hosts a night of dancing to live beach music in August in order to celebrate the end of summer. Downtown merchants and restaurants on White Street stay open later for all visitors to enjoy, dine, shop, and say goodbye to everyone’s favorite time of year.
When you move into Holding Village, you’re going to absolutely love your new home. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, the next phase of Holding Village is on its way with brand new builders and memories waiting to be created! We encourage you to reach out and take a tour as soon as possible so you don’t miss out.
Of course, you’re not going to stay in the house all of the time no matter how great it is. You want to get outside and enjoy the community of Wake Forest. We encourage you to attend these events so you meet others in the area and take full advantage of everything living in Wake Forest has to offer.
