November brings us time to be thankful and jump starts the holiday season. When you’re asking yourself “Where are fun places to go around me?” this month, we’d like to offer up these suggestions!
Holding Village will be hosting its own pop-up market on Saturday, November 9th from 10am to 3pm. The market, which will go on rain or shine, will be at the Holding Village Longview Mews at Knolls Drive and Highpoint. There’s no admission fee, and over 20 vendors will be on hand with their wares. Be sure to check it out!
Got a teen looking for some fun? Northwest Regional Library is hosting a jewelry making space for grades 6 through 10 on November 14th. From 6:30pm to 7:30pm, teens are invited to make a special gift for themselves or someone else!
Want some family fun? Family Gobblequest will be held on November 16th at E. Carroll Joyner Park. This scavenger hunt-like activity will happen from 10am to noon, and it will be followed by a screening of Free Birds.
The littles can get their fun on at Learning with Legos on November 19th and 25th. Held at Northeast Regional Library from 4pm to 4:45pm, preschool and early elementary aged children work one on one with members of the library’s Teen Leadership Corps to build critical thinking, reading and other necessary skills, all while having fun!
Northeast Regional Library is also hosting an event for 3rd to 5th graders on November 19th from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. This one will be Cookbook Creations where kids will create their own hot chocolate mix, then take the recipe home in their very own cookbook.
Happy Dan the Magic Man is bringing fun for all ages when he performs at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre on November 20th.
The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre will also host two performances of Joshua Lozoff’s “Life is Magic” on Friday, Nov. 22. Joshua Lozoff’s performances combine his love for the art of magic with his fascination with psychology and the powers of observation and influence, and this show is no different! Showtimes are 10am and 7.
And we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention Small Business Saturday on November 30th. Be sure to head to downtown Wake Forest and support our local small business owners. From boutiques to galleries to restaurants, let’s all show them some love!
Don’t miss out on fantastic fun just because you live too far away. Join the Holding Village community. Contact us today to schedule a tour!
